Sheriff's Mounted Posse 5th Annual
Take a Kid Fishing Day
SYP Board Member and LeSueur
County Sheriff David Gliszinski is pleased to announce that the 5th Annual Take
a Kid Fishing Day took place June 21, 2008. This event was available to
approximately 50 youth ages 8 to 15, and held on German and Jefferson Lakes in
Cleveland, MN. Along with a morning of fishing, the kids were educated in
boat & water safety and had a shore lunch.
Approximately 15 rookies from the
Minnesota Vikings were in attendance and fished with the kids. All kids received
a life jacket, rod and reel, caps lures and an autographed football from the
Vikings players.
The LeSueur County Sheriff's Posse
is a not for profit, civic-minded organization dedicated to the youth of our
communities. Thank you for including some of the youth from SYP facilities
in Take a Kid Fishing Day 2008 !

ISANTI COUNTY FAIR KIDS DAY
July 25th 2008
SYP Board Member Tonya Orbeck rallied several staff members to participate in
the Isanti County Fair Kids Day 2008 event held on July 25th 2008 in Cambridge,
MN. All of the kids events held until noon were free. There were over 35
sponsors for Kids Day and SYP had a table set up, providing a game and prizes. There was plenty of
excitement and entertainment.
