2009 FUNDRAISING EVENTS

 

36th Annual VonWald Group Home Golf Outing

Midwest Specialized Transportation, Inc.

The annual golf outing, in its 36th year and held at Willow Creek Golf Course in Rochester began at 11 a.m. with lunch and a Shotgun Start 18-Hole at noon, with 20 teams. Following golf was the annual Silent Auction, with items contributed from many businesses in and around the Rochester area.

The 36th Annual VonWald Group Home Golf Outing, Silent Auction and Dinner were a great success again this year! This event benefits the Vonwald Group Home in Rochester.  Thank you everyone who contributed to the success of this wonderful event - including all of our staff members at the event, and behind the scenes!!

26th Annual Wagon Train for Youth

The 26th Annual Wagon Train for Youth event was held September 25, 26, and 27 at the Waseca County Fairgrounds. The Wagon Train for Youth was hosted by the Waseca County Sheriffs Mounted Posse in 2009, and is sponsored by the Minnesota Sheriffs Mounted Posse Association.

The wagon train started out in the rain on Friday traveling 18 miles, and ended the day in the rain! Saturday's wagon train traveled 18 miles in sunshine - it was a beautiful day. On Saturday evening, Posse members and friends gathered for a Presentation and Awards ceremony, afterwards the Waseca County Posse hosted an evening of Bingo! On Sunday, another 10 miles in mild weather rounded out the weekend for this 26th annual event.

Businesses as well as individual posse members contributed door prizes given away during Saturday evening's festivities. Posse members and individuals raised money for Sheriffs Youth Programs to be used at facilities throughout our agency. Thank you for another wonderful Wagon Train for Youth! We had a great time!
